Some Mistakes of Vegans and Vegetarians

One might actually think that it’s easy to just get out there and change your lifestyle, but it’s not.  It can actually be quite hard for some people.

If you want to diet, exercise, and lose weight, there are some things you need to avoid as pointed out in the video below.

Those things are as follows:

Eating too much Fat.
Eating too much Sugar & Stimulants.
Not fixing enough of your own meals.
Not getting enough exercise.
Not being in a community.

For some, working out alone, might be alright.  For many, it’s the exact opposite.  Try to either create your own community, or join an existing one.  That will boost your confidence and willingness to get out there.

 

Pets – The Ups and Downs

When we decide to get pets, we have to consider the ups and downs of owning them.  Rather, taking care of them.  It’s not all fun and games when it comes to taking care of them.

What are some of the things we have to consider?  Cost, Life Expectancy, Vet Visits, Intelligence, Size of Animal, Sex of Animal, and even possible problems such as Fleas.  Is it worth it to you to have a dog or cat?

Dogs and Cats are notorious for being Flea ridden, especially if the care takers don’t take care of them properly.  Regular baths and flea medicine can help with that.  Do you have to time to take care of them?

Some animals are cheaper to take care of than others.  For example, other than the initial investment of the tank, decorations, pump, filters, etc Fish are relatively cheap to afford.  If you don’t go overboard, that doesn’t even have to be expensive.

Let’s go back to the Flea issue.  I mean, do you really want Fleas in your house?  What about if you have small children?  What about babies?  Do you really want them to have to deal with that?  Let alone you?

Some pets actually stink.  Ok, let me rephrase that, some pets actually stink if you don’t take care of them.  What does this mean?

Not every pet is easy to take care of.  None of them are really.  Just some easier than others.  Some pets even require you to clean out their cages, if you don’t, guess what?  Here comes the smell.

I’m sure you’re probably tired of hearing the bad sides of having a pet.  What about the good sides?  Yes, there are positive reasons for taking care of pets.

Children for some reason are attracted to pets.  Their like magnets.  Polar opposites.  Don’t believe me?  Go into a big Pet Store one of these days, you’ll see.

Why are pets good for Children?  They can offer companionship to them in times of need.  Perhaps a child is feeling down, but their dog might be able to help cheer them up.  Medical institutes let Pets into children’s hospitals to help easy the burden for the children.

Elderly can find companionship in pets as well.  When there is no one around for Mom or Dad, a pet might actually do them good.  Doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t go see them.

I for one will probably never have pets, unless it’s some Fish, or maybe an Eel.  Those Snowflake Eels are pretty cool.  I for one don’t see the benefits outweighing the down sides of caring for a pet.  At least in my situation.  For others, that may be a different story.

Why We Make Mistakes?

Many people often make mistakes.  Yet, sometimes we don’t know why.  I recently had to make a change in my Biggest Reasons Why Americans Are Overweight post.  It was a simple mistake too that anyone can make.

Down at the bottom, when I started talking about “they’re tampering with our health,” I had out instead of our.  Simple mistake right?

What about when we make mistakes that are big mistakes, the ones that make us feel a little down?

Today, I finished my workout routine.  Well, the Cardiovascular part of it anyway.  I found out that I actually had an error in my last calculation on Calories burned.  Yesterday, I had thought that I burned about  363 calories, when it was no where near.

Here’s the formula that I used to calculate those Calories.  men: calories = [(0.6309 x heart rate) + (0.2017 x age) — (0.09036 x weight) — 55.0969] x time / 4.184.

 See the part where it says — 55.0969]?  Yeah, I missed that completely in my calculation.  Somehow, someway, I just totally left it out.  So, while figuring out the new calculation, I was slightly disappointed.

Can you imagine how disappointing it is to find out that you’re not burning 300+ Calories, but instead you’re burning more like 186.  And that’s after increasing your time on the Elliptical to push yourself?  Sags head and walks away………

Ok, maybe not quite yet.  Unless I’m doing the formula wrong, there’s a big mistake there, but what can we learn from mistakes?

For starters, we can’t dwell on them.  We have to move on and learn from them.  We have to be more careful next time, so that we won’t make the same mistake again.  Life is too short to be filled with fouls.

It also helps to not be tired when you’re writing a blog post.  You’re more likely to catch those mistakes.  So make sure you get a good nights sleep.

So, what! if. I; make/misteaks….Get over it.  That’s all we can do right?  Get over it and move on.  Learn from them and not bash ourselves too much.

Staying Fit – Why Staying Fit Is Not An Option

So, science has confirmed what many people have believed over time.  What is this confirmation?  Well, let’s just say that many people think that it’s quite possible to stay fit at any age.

What’s the verdict?  Basically, you’ll have to maintain a certain level of activity or increase your activity as you get older.  Why?  Simply put, it takes a little more work to stay healthy at an older age.

This doesn’t mean that people can’t stay as healthy as a 20 year old at the age of 50+.  This is crucial to reducing factors such as Cardiovascular Disease.

Why is this crucial?  According to a study, Women are 5 times more likely to get Cardiovascular Disease than a physically fit woman.  Same study provides evidence that Men are 8 times more likely to get Cardiovascular Disease for not being fit.  Good enough reason to stay fit?

This study was done in Europe, where they are always looking for more answers, unlike the American counter parts, who just want to find a quick fix.  Exercise is very crucial to anything we do.  Want to lose weight?  Want to stay fit?  Want those sexy abs?  Gotta exercise.

Ok, many of you know that picking a Birthday present some times can be a pain.  I mean seriously?  Techie/Nerdy types are even harder to choose for.  Why?  What do you get someone that’s a Nerd/Geek?  So much too choose from, so much variety.

I have believe it or not managed to figure out what I want for my Birthday.  It’s an Android Tablet, running version 2.2.  Sorry Apple fans, iPads are just way out of my budget.  The Tablet I chose, is only $75.  Can’t hardly go wrong there.

Minecraft and Laziness

Most of you know that I play Minecraft.  Lately, I’ve been a bit lazy when it comes to producing Youtube videos though.  I’m going to have to work on that.

Tomorrow, I’ll be away from the computer for about a day and a half.  So, I’ll have no access to the web for that time frame.

As soon as I get back, I’ll be uploading more minecraft videos and more vlog videos as well.  I’ll also start on the Budget Software and Games reviews that I said I was going to do.

I’ve been working on my novel, plucking at it.  The planning stages, that’s what you do with it.  Pluck at it.  The only way to get things done, is one step at a time.  This, happens to be small steps.

I’ve got to start taking more action and get stuff done.  I can’t create a community without creating stuff for you guys to read.
