Looking Up at Jupiter and Venus

Looking up at Jupiter and Venus is never easier at this time of year.  They’re in fact side by side in the western sky.  Many people find Astronomy a fascinating subject and many more find looking up just awe inspiring.

If you’ve ever wondered how to do the math on an object in space according to it’s brightness, you’ll want to check out the article below.  Here is an excerpt from that article.

“If you’ve been outside just after sunset and faced west, you’ve almost certainly seen two bright “stars” glaring back at you. Those aren’t stars: they’re Venus and Jupiter, the 3rd and 4th brightest natural objects in the sky (after the Sun and Moon, of course, and I say “natural” because the space station can in fact look brighter than both). As they circle the Sun, every year or so the orbital geometry of the two (and the Earth) sets things up such that they appear very close together in the sky. This is called a conjunction, and when it involves planets this bright, it’s really something to see!”

If You’re Looking For A New Smartphone – The HTC One Is Here

Well, it’s almost here.  The carries will start to carry them in April of 2012.  Not too far down the road.  If you’re looking for easy of use, or even a starter phone, this Smartphone may be just what you’re looking for.  With an integrated wireless link up for connecting to all brands of Media TVs, you’ll be able to pick and choose which TV you want.

Streaming music is supposed to be easy and the camera is going to be an upgrade.  Be sure to check out the phone when it hits the markets.  Here is an excerpt from the article….

“Taiwanese cellphone maker HTC on Sunday announced the phone it is counting on to help it regain the rapid growth that has stalled out in recent quarters.

“You want a phone that is sleek and eye catching, so that when you pull it out, your friends go, ‘Wow, what is that?’” CEO Peter Chou said, at an event in Barcelona. “Today, I am proud to introduce just such a phone — the HTC One.”

Chou noted that taking photos is the No. 2 thing people do with their phones (after making calls), and promised that the HTC One will be good enough to replace the standard camera.

“It is the one phone you will need,” Chou said. “It is the one camera you will need.”

The flagship HTC One X device will pack a 4.7-inch screen along with a quad-core Nvidia chip in most models, and a Qualcomm chip in its LTE variant.

“HTC One is a speed and performance beast,” Chou said.

Budget Games and Software

I will be reviewing some Budget Games and Software in the coming weeks.  Most people are looking fun and good software on a budget.  What is my budget?  I’m limiting my purchases to $20.  You can expect a review on a budget product most Fridays.  Some weeks may be skipped, do to various factors.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover they say, but the cover is the selling point.  Instead, I’m going to say, “You shouldn’t judge a game/software by it’s price.”  Just because it’s budget, doesn’t mean it’s not a good game/software.  For example, you can now get Sim City 4 for $10.  That is one product I will review.

The product I will be reviewing up in the coming week is, Encyclopedia Britannica.  This information filled product is a bit more accurate than Wikipedia and I’ll be giving it a whirl over the next week.  When opinion matters, I’ll be giving you my two cents on Friday.  Stay tuned for that.

If you’d like to send me a free copy of your software to review, then I’d be happy to oblige.  The software must be a reason price and budget friendly.
